RULER IN PEACE

My musical intent as Ruler In Peace is to inspire and promote human healing through reconciliation with ourself and reconciliation with others.

Personal adage that informs my music and life: "Nosce te ipsum et carpe diem." It translates to, Know thyself and seize the day. May my music be received in that spirit.

Growing up on the SouthEast side of Chicago, Thee Artiist Makiiba was born into a creative household. Today, the nationally-performing artist has matured her genre of music into a soulful, yet upbeat, spoken word experience.  

 Joey Grace is a singer, songwriter and music producer based in Long Beach, California. During live performances she plays the keytar, synths, and percussion while using a vocal effects machine to produce lush on-the-spot harmonies and ethereal loops. As one audience member put it after seeing a live show, "Joey Grace's on-stage performance sounds like a dark version of Enya meets Marilyn Manson."
 

Kush Nubia is a Canadian-based DJ and artist whose sound consists of thumping, sensual beats  inflected with the sounds of Africa. This sonic mix makes for interesting, dance-inducing song not heard regularly. Posted next to his work are the words, “Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.” That quote is attributed to the legendary Frank Zappa, but as you listen to Kush Nubia’s body of work, it is obvious that he applies this concept to his own artistic process.  

 Oslo rapper Yousef debuts with his first single this year and has brought with him the star producer "Dio Mudara. The first single has been titled" Drabant "and is a self-portrait of how everyday life can be as a young person on the eastern edge of Oslo. 

Velo is Norwegian - Albanian rapper with roots from Oslo, Ammerud. In 2020, he debuted with the single "Tiki Taka" which led to a remix with German, Polish and Norwegian rap artists. 

Dio Mudara is a multi-platinum producer group from Oslo.  The producer has worked with several international artists such as French Montana x Nicki Minaj x Jadakiss x Malik Montana x Styles P. Dio Mudara productions have gathered over 100 million streams and have received multiple gold and platinum plaques for their productions.
